Windows to the soul eyes are a popular motif. A cross cultural symbol the eye has been an important symbol of protection. From its use in the contemporary movie Blade Runner to its symbolism in ancient Egypt the image of the eye is rich and varied. In Indian spiritual traditions, the third eye refers to the ajna (or brow) chakra. Vikki’s stylised eyes draw from this rich history and have become one of the motifs that are often featured in her work.
